The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul Exterior Improvements
Project Overview

- Sourced and installed historically accurate materials while utilizing tools and techniques aligning with the original construction
- Roofing and masonry maintained the Cathedral’s historic integrity, all while the house of worship remained active
The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul is a Romanesque and Gothic Revival-style Providence landmark originally designed by Patrick C. Keeley and completed in 1889. The stunning exterior features Portland Brownstone façades, stained glass windows, twin 156’ tall towers and a slate roof. In order to maintain its historic character and integrity, 百家乐软件 completed selective masonry, along with a full roof replacement.
Restoration work included in-kind replacements of Brownstone; stone Dutchman repairs; retooling of faces of rock-faced ashlar stone and decorative stone and trim; and repointing of stone joints. In addition to the full slate roof replacement, select roof framing members were structurally repaired. The existing lightning protection system also received upgrades. All construction activities were completed around an active house of worship.
